About the Role

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible to assist TEAM Superintendents for the construction projects in which they are assigned. The Assistant Superintendent will fulfill all requests of which represent the Site Superintendent. Achievement of the timely and profitable completion of each project, and to contribute to the distinction that TEAM Construction has earned, is the responsibility of the Assistant Superintendent. This is not intended to be an all-encompassing document and may not include everything that is required of this position based on the needs of TEAM Construction.

The Assistant Superintendent position is a technically demanding position. This position requires the ability to assist in the following:

 

Safety Preplanning & Implementation:

  • Assist in achieving and maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness during all phases of construction.

  • Assist in Hazard Identification and Analysis that will be performed on the project. 

  • The Assistant Superintendent will enforce requirements of subcontractor preplanned JHA, Control Access, Jobsite Shut Down, Special Permit, etc.

  • Document weekly and task specific safety meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Local jurisdictions as it relates to Safety and TEAM Construction Safety Policy, as well as hold subcontractors accountable for their company safety program.

 

Preconstruction, Activity Preplanning & Logistics:

  • Using software provided by TEAM, assist in the generation of plan sketches for, detailing Delivery Routes, Material Laydown, Site Access, and Evocation Routes.

  • Assist in detailed constructability reviews and contribute to the generation of specific scopes of work

  • Enforce project logistics with subcontractors and property representatives.

  • Post and maintain Site Signage detailing the project specifics prior to the start of any project.


  

Site Organization & Document Control:

  • Maintain detailed job specific Daily Reports, meticulously documenting all site activity to include coordination meetings, material delivery, safety, quality control, installation discrepancies, deficiency and corrections, as well as client interface.

  • Daily Reporting will include all subcontractor tasks and manhours, as well as, recorded delivery receipts, safety control, quality control checks.

  • Assist in the maintenance of as-built project drawings. Ensure As-builts are updated weekly to included product changes, RFI’s changes, and layout coordination.  

  • Supervise Subcontractor installation with adjacent Subcontractors for maximum schedule efficiency.

  • Enforce material delivery and laydown via approved routing plans and hours.

 

Quality Control Management:

  • Assist with coordination of project Plans, Specifications, Submittals, RFI’s, Shop Drawings for each scope.

  • Log Coordination Meeting Minutes between all adjacent trades of and activity that requires two (2) or more trades.

  • Verify and document all subcontractor layout prior to installations of new systems

  • Verify that all material delivered to the project site conforms to Product and Submittal Data approved by the design team, plans, and specifications.

  • Confirm all systems installation conforms to Federal, National, and Local code requirements.

 

Schedule Generation & Implementation:

  • Review and understand the Master Project Schedule.

  • Provide input for project 3-Week look ahead schedules and enforce daily activities

  • Coordinate with Project Engineers in enforcing 3-Week Schedules.

  • Keep and maintain delivery schedule and logs.

  • Log all inspections with State, County, City, and 3rd Party officials is conducted for all required scopes of work are scheduled and completed.

 

Software & Technical Understanding:

It is understood that the below programs are the framework for TEAM’s operational model.  Assistant Superintendent will begin efforts to become proficient in these areas:

  • MS Project / P6

  • Excel

  • Planswift / OST

  • All Microsoft Platforms

  • Bluebeam

  • Procore
